Any RP or Background Material: I've been playing flight simulators for a long time, and this is certainly one of the more memorable ones. I've read the entire back story, so I feel I can adequately, and accurately contribute in the game community.

What you like to do in game or want to do: I do enjoy combat missions, but am interested in the mining and refining aspects of the game. The Vendetta Community seems nice and conversational, so player interaction is a plus.

And why you think you PA is a good fit for you: PA seems to be a very active guild, and seems to be the best balanced between all the trades of the game. I've had only good interactions with PA members.

Guild Tournament

There has been a post on the Role Playing forum on the Vendetta site that I believe should be brought here for those that don't use the VO forums. A Guild Tournament was proposed, and I think PA should enter, if it is held. CHRN is already confident they will win, and I believe that whether we prove them wrong or not, this would be great fun. Set-up would be as followed:

- Bracket-based tournament: bracket generated randomely
- Best 2 out of 3 match style where winner advances to next round

Rules:

- Each guild participating selects 5 fighters in their guild
- 5v5 match in a random system/sector
- NW rules apply during matches

Rewards:

- Each guild participating puts 25,000,000 credits into the pot.
- Winner of the tournament recieves 75% of the profits, runner-up recieves 25%.

And why you think you PA is a good fit for you: PA is a friendly group of individuals without many nationalistic ties. Sounds good to me! Plus, I know a lot of people in the guild and I think I was even in it for a little while a long time ago (but I got kicked for inactivity I think <.< ).

I'm an alt of slime (or slime is one of my alts), but this character has no ties to Itan and is not prejudiced for or against Itan, Itani, or any of its rivals.

And why you think you PA is a good fit for you: I enjoyed the companionship of mining with Interstellar and Shadow Captain this evening. Although I am really not a miner, I have the impression PA is a fun bunch that like to do a variety of things. My knowledge of VO is greater than my levels suggest, and I am willing to help newer players learn the subtleties.

Bractus Keys

Ok, worked things out with Seragyn and some members already have user keys to the Bractus Station. Any member who doesn't and wants one, if you have decent serco standing, either talk with Seragyn, myself, Ricker, or of course the CMDR Denji Royhu and we will talk with ONE about getting you a key. Also, any member with a key, Seragyn warned that if you do anything they consider wrong while in possession of a key, you will be KOS with ONE( which includes station ganking, swarming, and interrupting fights). And yes, that is word for word what I was told from [ONE Cmdr]Seragyn. Of course I for one wouldn't stand by and let that happen as I doubt most PA members would, but avoiding it would be much appreciated.

Hey, folks. Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I'm moving in a week and I find my time bespoke packing boxes with innumerable piles of books (among other things; damn but I hate moving....). I'll try to get online in the next few days for a bit, and I move on the 30th, so hopefully after that (and a certain unpacking period, which will hopefully not take as long cos we're getting rid of lots of stuff) I'll be back in! A faint hiss of chilled air escapes as the pressures equalize inside and out of the cryopod. Slowly regaining conciousness Crello awakes his vision fogged and his body stiff and unresponsive. As awareness floods in his hands begin to shake and the muscles throughout shudder and quake with life reborn. Slowly sitting up Crello keys his monitor to check vitals for ship and self, satisfied with the results he tabs the power stud feeding energy long gathered and stored by the solar collectors during his hiatus. Subsystems come online in his EC-107, a low thrumm vibrates through the soles of his ship shoes as the engines begin their startup routine. Making his way down past the cargo bay he checks the locks on the sealed cargo recieved so long ago, pausing the remember he revels in the sensation of time rushing along until now a mere nap for he several years have come and gone. Satisfied the cargo is still sealed and intact Crello pushes on towards the cockpit pausing only to pass a cursory inspection on various compartments and the redundant systems they hold. Grabbing a cup of Cafe on his way through the last compartment before the bridge he pauses only to savor the invigorating smell.

Now somewhat refreshed cafe in hand Crello steps to his chair lights and screens blinking into existence provide a soft glow in the dark. "Crello Yoma, authenticate Papa, Alpha, three, four, one". "Council access request Victor, one, seven, echo, romeo". Data begins to scroll across the screens as the computer links to the Phoenix Alliance network. With a weary sigh Crello sits down to catch up on the latest happenings while he slumbered along in the voids cold embrace. "I've got to stop taking these priority missions, the time lag is killing me".

Satisfied with the abreviated update on the recent happenings Crello brings up his weapons screen, Railgun_1 MKIV(advanced) status green, ammo full // Railgun_2 MKIV(advanced) status green, ammo full. With one worry gone he checks his powercells status, while still in good condition the efficiency had dropped off by 3%. Following through with the rest of his restart Crello works his way through the checklists one by one until all boards read green, except for the priority intercept which blinked an angry red demanding his attention.

With a sense of despair Crello punches up the incoming message log and sees four high priority incoming, the first three deal with the recent elections and updates to guild personnel lists and the ESD list. The last message was from the mysterious client that had placed the long hold on this shipment. With only a moderate grunt as he perused the short, contrite message for the pertinent details. "You've gotta be kidding me," exclaimed Crello as he entered the coordinates into his navcomp "right in the goddamn middle of the war-zone". Deciding to call in a few favors to get this "cargo" to its destination Crello carefully scripts a message to any other members of the Phoenix-Alliance within range. This is Crello Yoma calling any available members of the Phoenix-Alliance to give escort for a cargo drop to a longtime client, is anyone reading this transmission? After waiting and repeating the message for two hourly cycles with nothing so much as a wiggle on the receiver he decides to start making his way up to no-mans land in [Deneb {C-12}]. With the nature of the cargo he knew there would be no docking until delivery was made and payment was safely credited to his accounts. Approaching the jump limit Crello repeats his message on the guild-net and Checks the spotter for any local activity in the recent hours. The scope clear he activates the tunnel jump-drive and heads towards Odia's wormhole to the Sedina system.

Having cleared the wormhole junction Crello plots some random jumps around each system before heading to the next wormhole in the chain. ...Dinner pause...

Most consider this to be only a bomber ship. SEC R&D has found one very interesting use for it.

C3 Rag!

Use Ragnarok
Equipped with:
1 x Small Storm Extender
2 x Gemini Launchers or 2 x AAPs
1 x Group Radar Extender
1 x Repair Module or 1 x Chaos Swarm Launcher
1 x FC Power Cell

A Group Radar Extender allows all ships in the same group as the equipped ship to share radar so long as they are within 2000m of the C3 Rag. This will allow for good combat visibility in fogged/storm sectors, so long as the C3R is near the center of the combat formation.

The Repair Module would allow for field repairs by the ship. In sectors where repair is nearby (or specialized repair ships available), the Chaos Swarm launcher provides some nice additional firepower.

The Gemini launchers are largely so the C3R is not completely defenseless, although it DOES have the speed to keep out of the way.

The radar extender give the C3R itself a 1000m radar range in fogged/storm sectors, which combined with the group extender make it very useful.

The C3R combined with a plugin allowing for selection of group targets (reputedly under development) would allow a commander to direct the fire of his/her entire group easily, even in fogged/storm sectors.

Heavy Miner Mk 2

Been experimenting with this in most ways OTHER than as a mining ship.

My findings:

This makes for a solid long range hauler. With 80% of the capacity as an XC, the same armor, speed, and energy curve, plus a stern turret and 3 large ports, you can defend yourself pretty well if you carry a mine (I currently use a prox mine, but laser mine, and especially the new TU mine would be very nice) and 2 chaos swarms.
The HM2 makes an excellent missile gunboat. Being able to mount 3 chaos swarms, it actually has more firepower than a Rag armed with 2 chaos and 3 gems and still retain most of a Rag's maneuverability. It's just not as fast. The other day I was experimenting against static queens. I was typically able to crack their shields and drop them by about 18% every time I attacked. The only downside was that the shields popped back up once I left to reload, but 2 HM2s could team fire against the queen and drop her fast. I can only guess how much damage she'd take if you didn't have to drop the shields before hitting her.

I will attempt to determine other uses for this ship. I've been having the SEC's R&D department at work trying to figure out unorthodox uses for VO ships. I'll post more on the findings later.

I finally have a full time schedule. Working wed - sunday... wed day starts at 9 for meeting then work till 7. thurs - sun work 10-6. End up walking bout 20 miles a day so will be tired but hopefully will be back to the loving arms of VO perdy durn soon. other good news is will be making a ddecent salary with bonusing options.... Hoorah.

My absence (and extreme afk), in the previous weeks, was because I got (finally) the chance to see and spend some time with my son.
After grab two wheels we headed to Perú. 1836 kms of rubber were burned in our trip.
ATM we have a smile from ear to ear, great memories, and a pen in hand to redraw the line of our flat ass.

Changing jobs in Real life

My current position has come to an end and next week I will be bidding on a new job stoking the furnaces in hades..er make that new job in a different office...

I may be rather distracted for a few weeks as I may be forced to relocate to a new area. There are still a lot of if's that have not been answered other then being handed a date to have our job bids in and I also have to placate MaKettle as well.
